Sales and Marketing Manager
Location: Sudbury, Ontario | Full-Time
$140-$180K depending on experience
About the Role
Our client is a leading Canadian manufacturer of specialized utility vehicles, with a global dealership network and a strong focus on engineering, quality, and customer support. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to drive growth across Canada and internationally.
The Sales and Marketing Manager will lead the company’s sales organization, support and manage dealer partners, and oversee business development, product management, and marketing initiatives. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring an experienced leader who can grow sales, coach teams, and expand market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans in collaboration with senior management
- Lead, coach, and manage internal sales teams and dealer representatives
- Support and manage existing dealer network performance and expansion into new regions
- Organize quarterly dealer meetings and annual dealer conferences
- Establish and manage CRM systems and other sales tools
- Manage assigned geographic sales area to maximize revenue and meet objectives
- Conduct sales activities for key accounts, including pricing and contract negotiations
- Oversee marketing initiatives, including website management and trade shows
- Forecast orders received and track sales performance
- Educate and train sales teams and dealers on multi-product sales, profitability, and effective selling strategies
- Develop and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses
- Implement and manage Voice of Customer (VOC) processes
- Review expenses, hold regular meetings with sales staff, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives
- Travel domestically and internationally as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing of:
- Underground mining utility or production equipment (preferred)
- Mining consumables (e.g., explosives, drilling tools, ground support)
- Open pit mining equipment or other industrial/heavy equipment
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach sales teams and dealer reps
- Experience developing and executing sales plans and territory management
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends
- Established network within the Canadian and international mining industry preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingualism (French/Spanish) is an asset
- University degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
