Now hiring a Data Systems Administrator for a local Sudbury client.

Position Summary:

The Data Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing our data systems and IT infrastructure. This role involves extracting and manipulating data to generate reports for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT administration and basic programming skills for data handling.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Extraction and Manipulation: Use basic programming skills to pull data from various databases and systems, ensuring accurate and timely data extraction for reporting purposes.

Report Generation: Create, maintain, and automate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide management with actionable insights and assist in decision-making processes.

Database Management: Oversee the performance, integrity, and security of databases, including troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary updates or improvements.

System Administration: Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers, networks, and workstations.

Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, presenting findings to management to support strategic planning.

User Support and Training: Provide technical support to staff, resolve hardware and software issues, and train users on new reports, systems, and data management tools.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data extraction processes, reports, and IT infrastructure.


– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

– Proven experience in IT administration and data management.

– Proficiency in basic programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) for data extraction and manipulation.

– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

– Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.

– Experience with database management systems and IT infrastructure.

– Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different departments.

– Familiar with ERP programs, work order systems, etc.

– Experience with Global Shop ERP is an asset

– Proficiency in utilizing a variety of computer software programs such as VB, C#, GAB, Power BI, MS Office, Access, SQL, GSS, and Office Suite

Work Environment:

– A combination of office and shop environments

– Job Type: Full-time, Day shift (7:00am – 3:30pm, 5 x 8hr days)

– Salary 65K-70K
